Car Free Columbus 2010

What is Car Free Day?

Car Free Day is an international event to be celebrated in central Ohio on Friday, September 17, 2010.

CAR FREE PLEDGES
Be one of the many that will reduce or eliminate the use of their car on September 17.  Just for one day consider your alternatives.  The possibilities are endless.  You can walk, ride your bike, take the bus or ride with a friend.  Take your pledge to be car free today.

CAR FREE SPOTS
Also on September 17, be on the lookout for everyday parking spots that have been transformed into car free spots to demonstrate what our community could be like with fewer cars on the road.

By taking a fair number of cars off the roads, people who live and work in central Ohio are given a chance to consider how our region might look and work with a lot fewer cars.

Contact Ashley Lester with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission at 614.233.4168 for questions.

Car Free to Work! Car Free to School! Car Free to Fun!
