Getting around without your car is not always convenient, but have
you considered trying to change the way you get to work even just two
days per month? You can find a carpool partner to share the ride with,
take a COTA bus, ride your bike, or if it’s close enough – walk.
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s (MORPC)
RideSolutions
Program promotes alternatives to driving alone,
including vanpools, carpools, transit, walking and cycling to work. RideSolutions’ goals are to reduce congestion in our region, save
commuters on their fuel costs, and improve our environment. Using
computerized software, RideSolutions is able to provide free, helpful
options for commuters to get work.

A Guaranteed Ride Home, Just In Case You Need It
Did you know that if you currently take the bus, carpool, walk or ride
your bike to work, that you qualify for RideSolutions’ Guaranteed Ride
Home program? All you need to do is register with RideSolutions prior to
needing the service. The Guaranteed Ride Home program gives commuters
reassurance that they will not be stranded at work in the case of an
emergency or unexpected overtime. It is a free service to anyone who
carpools, vanpools, rides public transportation, bikes, or walks to and
from work. Commuters receive reimbursement of 90% of cab fare, including
a 15% tip that can be used up to 4 times per year.
